Hachland Hall located in Clarksville
Tennessee is an unexpected treasure located in Tennessee's fifth largest city. Hachland
Hall is only 50 minutes from downtown Nashville. The innkeeper is cookbook author, Phila
R. Hach. After leaving a career with American Airlines, Phila and her husband, Adolf an
international tobacco exporter, opened Hachland. It has been a favorite place to visit for
over 30 years. The main inn is Federal in its architecture. There are three log cottages that
house guests as well. One of which, Andrew Jackson lived in while he built his beloved
Hermitage. Phila having authored over 14 cookbooks, The United Nations Cookbook, The 1982
World's Fair Cookbook, From Phila With Love to name a few, offers simple Southern fare to
elegant continental cuisine. The Inn sleeps 25 people for a private business conference or
a few more if you are traveling as a family or couple. Have dinner in one of Phila's
glassed in dining rooms overlooking her gardens, perhaps brandy glazed filet mignon or
poached salmon and then retire to a wonderful antique bed for a good nights sleep.Wake up
feeling refreshed and join Phila for coffee. Her staff will prepare a breakfast you will
not soon forget.
In addition to her bed and breakfast Phila caters within a five hour radius of her inn.
She also plays host to many of Clarksville's corporate meeting needs. She provides
complete food and beverage service, along with state of the art meeting room appointments.
